Meet The Creator
Hey, my name is Corey Jackson. I am the creator of Taste of New Jersey LLC, a seasoning company created to celebrate my family, my hometown, and my love of good food. Welcome!
Born and raised in Monmouth County, New Jersey, I am proud to be from the Garden State. Just a short drive from the Jersey Shore, I grew up around beautiful beaches, great diners, and even better people. At the heart of all these experiences was great-tasting food.
My earliest memories are with my grandmother who was known for having a meal ready at any time. Food was love for her and people knew when they stopped by they were going to be cared for with a good meal.
As I got older, I would help my mother in the kitchen. Mom taught me “your food should taste like something”. Everything was made from scratch and she made sure to take her time building layers of flavor as she cooked.
I started cooking in my late teenage years. My mother and I began gifting food to our family and church members. Over time we started to sell meals and host events at our home. BBQs, family functions, Cook-Offs, and more. The events ranged from intimate dinners for 2 up to hundreds at our church’s annual celebrations.
Finally, my uncle taught me the art of grilling and smoking. Whether using a personal grill or one large enough to accommodate a church function, you are still cooking the same meat and it deserves to begin on a well cleaned and prepped grill.
I thank God for the memories I have of New Jersey and my family. My upbringing shaped my life and influenced my style of cooking. New Jersey has its own sense of style and flavors. Taste of New Jersey LLC is my way of bringing you home to my family’s kitchen. I hope you enjoy the amazing flavors!
